Family farms - Missing information
I am hoping somebody can help. Over the past few years have I started looking for our old family farms as well as places some of our members may been connected with.
1. Maanhaarpoort (Dirk Wouter Immelman van Heerden, My Grandfather, father?s side)
2. Cypherbult (Johannes Lodewikus van Heerden, My Great Grandfather, father?s mother?s side)
3. Pampoenpoort (Pampoenspoort? Maybe Hugo van Heerden) I do not know the connection other than my father?s two sisters may have been buried here.
4. Kookfontien (Barend Jacobus van Heerden). This is a farm or name that can up often in conversations with may father. I do not know if it was owned by the family or rented but the family may have lived here for a time.
Please contact us if you can help.

Martha Coetzee, the wife of Diogene Charlot van Heerden.
The last we heard of Aunt Martha is that she may have moved to Cape Town from their home in Durban after the death of Charlot in 1973. Can anyone with information on this lady please contact us? Martha is a cousin of Mimi Coetzer. We do not know why the difference in surname. Charlot van Heerden was a headmaster of a high school in Durban, possibly a boys high school in the Westville area.

Morry Hyman, Godfather of St Leger Emile
We are trying to locate a Morry Hyman, godfather and dear friend of Lucretia Martha Potgieter. He used to work as a manger at a bottle store on the corner of Deville Street and Du Toit Street, Langlaagte. The Bottle store was on the southern entrance of the Langlaagte Station.
Morry was my mother?s friend for many years but always in the back ground and always available to help her if and when she needed help. He was one of the gentlest persons I know. Hy may have lived in an apartment centre of Johannesburg. A lover of big fancy American cars.
He died in 1970 or 1971 of cancer at the Rosettenville Hospital, Johannesburg
